Sadako swooped down with her wings as black as pitch on the grassy plain in which they both now stood. The sun was just setting over the area. "I am Sadako. I am here to rank you. What is your name?"

" My name is Ren Saori.. pleased to meet you..i beleive we have met in the riceball shop?"

I come, quickly pass by you, take a sniff of your aroma and move back to my spot.

Watching Ren's moves carefully, and analizing each, Sadako replied, "Ah, yes. That we have.
"Now, to recieve your rank, you will be going through an obsticle course. You will be guided by a tiny trickle of water that would be easily missed to show you the right path. I will be watching you, always, so have no fear of dying. Now, you have four hours to reach the end. Begin."
As soon as she was finished speaking, a tiny trickle of water appeared, winding away toward the sunset, but more importantly, towards a grassy hill where a hole was tucked away. Dare you enter?

* i see the tiny trickle of water sparkling in the fading sunlight*
* i walk towards it, carefully trying to make sure not to lose sight of it *
* i take out a bottle *

Sadako disappeared in a swirl of shadow, just watching. From within the grassy knoll, something was stirring. It whined pitifully to attract attention.

* From my bottle, I take out the aroma and flow it to the trickling water. Since water has no smell, I might as well give it one*

I notice the whining coming from the grassy area. Confused, i follow it.

((I have to follow the trickling water and go inside the hole in the grassy area, towards the whining sound?? Just asking. Don't want to do anything against the rules))

(Yup.)

The whining built to a howl of pain, then went back to a mere whimper.

I wonder what's wrong...

* The painful whimpers caught me so i run towards the grassy knoll and enter *

* As I go, I remember the trickling water and remember its scent*

It was pitch-black in the darkness of the earth. The whimpering seemed to come from all around, circling Ren. It would drive anyone mad with fear as the whimpering built to a feral snarl. Pawsteps echoed around the room, and you caught the slightest sight of a furred pelt and glowing green eyes before both faded. There was a loud bark from behind Ren, and the thing lunged for her throat

by the time i went in, i was pretty much blind, except for the slightest glimpse of the creature

What's going on? I say to myself.

I hear snarls and suddenly a large bark from behind. I punch the ground with great strength and forceful winds gush out from under ground towards the paw steps of the opponent and attacks from beneath. I quickly step back, watching to see what had happened.

The creature was a ghost, so the attacks seemed not to harm it. A full moon was visible from the tiny hole that Ren had entered the place from. The Ghost, a wolf-like creature, contnued it's advance, snarling the entire time. It's jaws clamped together inches from Ren's neck, but knocked her over instead, teeth furiously snapping as it tried to bite Ren's neck again, but an unseen force kept it from killing her. A tiny, almost invisible string of Chakra was around Ren's neck, repelling the ghost-wolf, for Sadako had promised that the Genin would not be killed.

I take out a bottle while the ghost-wolf tries to attack me

i realize that a repelling force keeps it from attacking me.
"Thanks Sadako" I mutter.

From the bottle an aroma spreads to the ghost-wolf. This aroma causes the opponent to lose their complete sense of hearing and seeing. I wait and hope that this time it might work.

Shaking off the aroma, the ghost-wolf could still sense Ren's presense, and it could also smell her still as it raked it's claws down Ren's belly, opening up a slight gash as it snarled once more.

"Ah! Aroma doesn't seem to work with it. Poor thing is angry or hurt"

*I flow my chakra to my head and my nerves. Next I calm down and try to ignore the pain in my stomach*

* i put myself in its head and calm the nerves. The nerves are jumping and out of control, so I try once more. I see and feel its agony and try putting it to myself to take out the anger, hunger, and sadness*

* I make the ghost- wolf recall its past to see what is wrong with him..... *

The visious thing had been murdered by a hunter, and now despised all humans, wanting revenge from that agony. It had fallen into a hunter's trap, and had laid there with a wooden stake piercing it's belly for two days before the hunter finally came back and it's humanly shadow was the last thing the wolf saw before it died. Too angry and hurt to pass on, the wolf lingered on the earth, killing as many humans as it could.
The wolf yelped as it felt it's memories being invaded, shaking it's head wildly, trying to get Ren out of it's head, snarling furiously. It lay down and started to claw at it's face, not wanting to remember. Soon blood dripped from it's head, and the wolf's eyes were terrified as a cloud passed over the moon. With a mournful howl, it disipated. The trickle of water continued further into the earth.

that poor wolf...

i watch the terrified wolf tearing it self and then see the trickling water.
I follow the trickling water going deeper in...

As Ren went deeper into the earth, the path sloped downwards until it reached a pool. Then, on the opposite side, a trickle of water slid down the slope. The clacking of scales on stone was heard, and the cave suddenly filled with a sulfury scent. Twin golden yellow eyes watched Ren from the side of the dark cave, and then they moved, blocking off the exit. Ren could go back if she wanted, but could not proceed unless she fought the creature.

(( you're saying that, I can't go back or go any further, without fighting the creature, right?))

I walk slowly down the slope......

(You can go back, but you'd fail the exam.)

A warning hissed eminated from the beast's throat, and it spit a stream of fire from it's mouth to alluminate the entire cave for a moment. The dragon's scales were a fiery red, it's eyes yellow, and it wasn't that big for a dragon. It was still quite a bit larger then Ren, though. It flared it's wings, still hissing as it cut off the stream of fire.

(kk just making sure)

the sight of the dragon awes me, as i have never seen a dragon before in my life.
I keep on walking and wait to see the reaction of the dragon, though i keep my smell on the trickling water.

Flaring it's wings again, it roared, letting a concentrated blast of fire make it's way toward Ren.

* I study the blast of fire coming at me*

I face one of my palms towards the fireball coming at me and a huge wind comes out blowing the fire in the direction of the dragon. With my other palm i attack the dragon with continuous and vigorous winds.

i take a stance and await the dragon
